Terms and conditions of entry

It is essential that you read these notes in full before completing your entry form.

1.Registrations are on-line. This greatly simplifies the process and means that you can pay conveniently using your debit or credit card. Please click the link after you have read this page.
2.Minimum age limit is 17 years of age by the date of the race. There is no upper age limit.
3.Once your entry is received and entered onto the Race Entrant's Database, fees are non-refundable and your entry cannot be deferred to a subsequent event.
4. Following a successful registration, a confirmation email will be sent to you containing a summary of your registration details, your assigned race number and a link to the event race pack. Please keep this information for reference. Your race bib and chip will be issued to you on the morning of the race on presentation of your personal race number.

Your race bib and chip showing your personal race number must be worn throughout the duration of the race. Your race bib must be worn on your chest. Race numbers, bibs and chips are not transferable.
5.By entering, you agree to accept the rules of the race organisers and you confirm that you will wear a race chip, will compete entirely on foot, and will run entirely at your own risk, with no dogs or following cycles or vehicles. You will only take part if you are medically fit to run a half marathon. Personal music players and similar devices can only be used with 'open-ear' headphones (which utilise bone conduction technology in order to allow the user to hear normally). The use of 'in-ear' headphones (such as earphones and earbuds) or regular 'over-ear' headphones with such devices is not permitted. The race organisers and their agents will not be liable for any injury, loss, or expense which may arise in consequence of your participation in this event.
6.Please obey all instructions of race marshals, or police - failure to do so will result in disqualification.
7.Teams may be entered at no extra charge at the time the entry is made. To be valid, teams must have a minimum of three members to finish the race.
8.Each UKA-affiliated club will automatically have one male and one female team entered. There can be any number of runners in a team, but only the best three results will score.
9.Non-affiliated teams may also enter. Team names must be unique. Teams must be all male or all female. The lowest combined result of the best 3 finishers in the same team will be declared the winning team
10.No individual or team entries will be accepted after the entry deadline, or on the day of the race.
11.Deadline for entries is Sunday 10th March 2024 at midnight. Please make sure your entry reaches us by this date. The organisers reserve the right to close registration at any time if (for example) the number of registrants exceeds our limits.
12.The organisers reserve the right to modify the rules of the event. Notice of any such changes, wherever possible, will be posted to the web site at: www.forestofdean-halfmarathon.co.uk.
13.The organisers reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event if circumstances beyond our control mean that it is not possible to run the event. There will be no refunds. We may, at our discretion, offer entry to the same event the next year on special terms if circumstances prevent the race from being re-scheduled.
14.The course will be closed when the event finishes at 14:00. The organisers reserve the right to close the course for safety reasons at any time.
15.You irrevocably consent to your appearance being recorded on any media, and consent to your name and photograph being used for the purposes of announcing results and promoting the event.
