Coronavirus - Current situation

It is our intention to proceed with the Forest of Dean Spring Trails Half Marathon as planned unless otherwise required by the government or public authority or local authority. We will continue to monitor the situation and will appraise participants and potential spectators of any change in the situation as the event date draws closer.

In the event that the situation changes, a summary of any relevant information will be posted at the top of the main page of the event website.

What changes we're making

In line with the protocols published by the NHS, we will provide hand sanitising stations and ensuring that gloves are used by marshals with direct competitor contact on the drink stations and the finish area.

What you can do

We ask runners and spectators to play their part in slowing the spread of the virus by following the NHS’s advice regarding good hygiene practices; washing their hands, covering their mouth and nose when they cough or sneeze and disposing of tissues in the bin immediately after use.

If you are feeling at all unwell – please DO NOT travel to the race or take part in the event. Our runners’ safety is our top priority and we want to ensure everyone is fit and well for the race.

If you are worried that you have symptoms of the virus or that you might have been exposed to the virus when travelling, please visit the NHS 111 online service.
