The 2013 Forest of Dean Autumn Half Marathon
Sunday, 29th September 2013, 10:00
Thanks to all of you who ran on this glorious sunny day in the Forest!
Huge thanks also to all of you who supported, marshalled, radio-communicated, water-stationed, car-parked, chipped and unchipped, medalled, first-aided and massaged! We couldn't do this without you!
Some dates for your diary:
Forest of Dean SPRING TRAILS Half Marathon:
30 March 2014 (registration now open!)
Forest of Dean AUTUMN Half Marathon:
28 September 2014 (registration will open 1 April)
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Forest of Dean!
This Autumn Half Marathon is run in the Forest of Dean at the end of September. Using the same organization as the popular Spring event, this race will follow a forest trails course with no road crossings. This new course has some interesting hill challenges, and offers a chance to experience the Forest with its late-summer leaf canopy.
This annual event is organised by The Rotary Club of the Royal Forest of Dean and supported by the Forestry Commission. Proceeds are used to support charities, both locally and nationally.
We are very grateful for the involvement and support of a host of individual volunteers, together with number of local organisations who make this event successful; including the Forestry Commission, the Speech House Hotel, St John Ambulance, and the Forest of Dean Motor Club.
The Forest of Dean Trails Half Marathon is organised on behalf of the
